New York State Police say they initiated a traffic stop on I-95 in the town of Harrison after observing a driver commit a violation on Monday, Oct. 21 around 5:30 p.m.
The driver, identified as Liam McGuire, of Mamaroneck, was found to be intoxicated, according to police.
McGuire was arrested and transported to SP New Rochelle, where police say he refused to submit to a chemical breath test to determine blood alcohol level.
McGuire was found to have a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and subsequently faces charges for driving while intoxicated, a Class D felony, as well as numerous vehicle and traffic violations.
McGuire was turned over to a sober third party and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Harrison Court on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
